He took a liking to his Aunt Catherine- mostly. He did spit up on her. He was also very good with me. He is such a sweet baby. We loved getting to meet him.
Friday, we headed north. We planned on going to Brainard lake. However, we got there and it was closed because there was still too much snow in the parking lot. I pleaded with a ranger to take us up there but he said we would have to walk. Too far and too uphill...
We decided just to carry on to Rocky Mountain National Park.
We drove up to where we could get some panoramic views of the park.
This wonderful specimen bid us good bye as we left the park. It is a beautiful area and some day we will return for a longer visit.
We are at Monument RV park in Fruita, Co tonight. Tomorrow, we head for Moab for 3 days at Arches NP and Canyon lands NP.
It's so hot and muggy here, it's hard to imagine snow. What are the daily temps running?
ReplyDeleteIn colorado they were in the 70's 40's at night. This week 80's and 50's.
DeleteWe are very slowly headed in that direction so thanks for letting us know that Rocky Mountain doesn't have too much snow but does have a great welcoming committee. Will be very interested in the temps at Arches and Canyonlands since we're thinking it will be too hot to go there by the time we could.
ReplyDeleteWow. This was the same weekend that we had stopped at Brainard Lake two years ago. There was a tiny bit of snow out by the lake, but that was all. Enjoy Arches and Canyonlands, they are beautiful.
