Breaking Bad with the Hintons

 Yesterday, as Catherine was out for her walk.  She discovered an interesting doorway out of the park.  I joined her for her second time around and she pointed it out to me.  Of course, I thought the only thing better than a big Beer door would be a big "Free Beer" door.  Let's check it out.

 Turns out our KOA is next door to the Kaktus Brewing Company.  We investigated and found the owner siting in his pajamas at the bar (drinking coffee). He invited us in and offered us a "Breakfast Beer". We decided we needed to wait for a  a more reasonable hour for beer. We figured, when you find a funky little brew pub, you gotta call the Hintons.

 We knew they were in the area and we made a plan to meet for lunch and some brews.  We chose the Breaking Bad table. 

 Sharon thought it was a good choice and posed with Walter White.  We enjoyed some tasty beverages.  Sharon had a very good Stout, Catherine had an OK Dunkle.  I liked my Amber which was lighter than most Ambers - good for a fairly hot day. I did not get John's review of his IPA.  You will have to check his blog.

The food was pretty good too!  I had a grass fed beef dog on a pretzel bun smothered in Bison chili.  Sharon and John had bison Nachos and Catherine had veggie nachos.   It was a fun little place and I am sure we will visit again before we pull out. 
It was great to see the Hintons again and get caught up on each others' adventures.
We picked up some Pei Wei take out and took it to our nieces new home for dinner.  The house is really nice and she has done a great job decorating.

Today we are going to help her get her little "beat the heat" pool set up and have an evening BBQ.   We are supposed to have what we consider to be near perfect weather high 90, low 60, 5% humidity, although we may get a little wind this morning.
