We got here early and just spent some time relaxing, and doing laundry. It is a nice location-very cool. However, the campground has an issue with low voltage. The surge protector kicked the power off a couple of times. I had take off the surge protector while we went to the north rim to make sure Grace would have AC. I hate doing that, but if the coach gets damaged it can be fixed- Grace- not so much. Fortunately, it has been pretty cool here. If you don't mind boondocking, there is a National forest campground nearby that is probably a better option.
The bison herd greeted us as we entered the park :)
We did the scenic drive and a couple of walks- no hikes this time. We had lunch at the Lodge- very good food.
It was a great day. I really like the North Rim- not as many people- just as beautiful.
Today, we move on to Page, AZ and Lake Powell- back to the heat :).

You are sure having a beautiful trip!
ReplyDeleteWe want to visit the North Rim exactly because of lesser crowds. The South Rim is getting too crowded for our liking.
ReplyDeleteYou sure are in the heart of spectacular sights and scenery! Great pics again.
ReplyDeleteThe LESS CROWDS sounds like a wonderful thing at the Grand Canyon!!! We will definitely have to check out the North Rim:o)) Your photos are beautiful
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. And I agree about Grace, must keep the puppies safe and comfy.
ReplyDeleteThe north rim is my favorite. Really beautiful pictures you took. You guys are really hitting the highlights. I just hate low voltage issues. If I pay for electric, I expect to be able to use it. It's why I won't go back to Sebastian Inlet even though I love it. Too much worry about the appliances.
ReplyDeletewe haven't been to the north rim and so we shall some day...
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous!
