Road Warrior....Back at Home Base

 I spent a lot of my working years as a road warrior - up early, traveling long distances to meet with customers.  Yesterday, I was up before dawn headed back to home base.  
One thing I like about being on the road is the unique foods you can sample along the way......

It was a little early in the morning for diesel fried chicken. So, I did not try it :)  It was an easy drive, but I don't miss doing that all the time.

 While I was gone, Catherine set up her table in the house to give some massages.  However, Walter has decided that the massage table makes a great bed.  This is his new "spot".

We enjoyed a great meal, some college football and a new visitor last night.  This little fella came up in the yard to nibble on some weeds.

It  did my heart good to see my mom again. She is doing as well as can be expected and seems to be relatively happy.  The staff has good things to say about interacting with her. Although, they acknowledge she can sometimes "be fiesty". It seems to be working out well.   I am happy I could make the trip but it was good to be back in my own bed last night. :)
