Another Road Trip And Another RV First

Sunday night, I decided to do the operating system upgrade on our Mac. It did not go well.  After the installation failed, I could not get the disk to eject or the mac to boot.  Rather than make matters worse, we decided to go to San Antonio to the genuis bar on Monday and let them get us sorted out.  It also gave us an opportunity to visit our friends Barbara and Jan.
We got to the Apple store about 3:00 and they took care of us. Everything is OK with our machine. Although, we chose not to mess with upgrading the OS. We arrived at our friends house about 4:30pm. We were just in time, for an evening swim.
They have a wonderful place outside of San Antonio.  We stayed in the guest house in the back and enjoyed time in the pool, on the porch and pulled up to the dinner table :).  Thanks again, Barbara and Jan!
I had little sleep Sunday night, not only because I was worried about our computer but also because I kept hearing scratching and scurrying in the coach. We had our first mouse :(. Before we left, we set a mousetrap.  Our friends checked it on Monday and we caught the rascal.  Pretty good timing for us- we got out of dragging the little dead body away:).  We caught it using a piece of pecan.  We reset the trap, but hopefully that was the only one.  We have several chores to get out of the way the rest of this week.  We are looking at triple digit temps for the next few days but are supposed to see a nice weekend.  See you down the road...

  1. I see you have visited a lot of states! Sounds very exciting. My boyfriend (Jason) and I are moving to Denver at the end of October. Once we get settled you should definitely make a stop there! :)

    Much love, Summer

  2. I think your little mouse just wanted to enjoy some A/C!

  3. We had problems with a chipmunk getting in the rig. I bought three of the ultra-sonic deterrents that plug in at Lowes. One for the bedroom, living area and the basement. It got rid of the Chipmunk, and we have not had any mice. They are supposedly not harmful to pets so Grace should be okay.

  4. Good catch! I guess the early mouse gets the pecan (but doesn't get to enjoy it!).

  6. I think you'd better see if you can go back and visit those good friends with the great pool in the triple digit temperatures. I'm whining about 89 and HUMID, you make me feel like a wuss.

  8. Hopefully that's your first and LAST mouse! Those darn things can be destructive!

I agree with Sherry. Go back and visit your friends with the pool the next couple days. :-)
