Enjoying San Antonio

 Sunday afternoon was beautiful and we  were able to enjoy the second half of the Buc's game on our outside TV.  As Sherry says "color me happy!".    Our electric problems were low voltage and we found out yesterday that it has been a problem in the whole town due to the increased oilfield activity- not good.

Last night we went down to the riverwalk to have dinner.
We opted for appetizers and salads .  Catherine had this wonderful tomato salad. 


She got scallops with a very nice polenta salsa and I got Ahi Tuni on a bed of spinach.  It was all very good.   We also enjoyed a very nice wine.
We have been trying to make some plans for the next few months.  We have decided to stay in the southwest this fall.  I still feel the need to stay a little closer to my mom.  We will have to do the keys and the "Carolina clan" gathering another year.  By next year, we will probably need to make the pilgrimage to Red Bay, AL anyway :).  After we leave here, we are going back to the hill country for awhile. Catherine had a cold when we were there before and did not have a chance to enjoy the wineries.  
Today, we are checking out a new exhibit at the museum.

    Yum on the tomato salad and scallops! So sorry that you guys aren't going to make the Carolina Clan gathering but totally understand! Family comes first!

    We are really sorry you can't make it this year, but totally understand. You need to do what is best for the family. We are working hard to balance things with my mom also. You just have to do what feels right!!!

    Sorry that you'll miss the CC, but you are right to stay near your mom. There will be other times.

    Love the look of your outdoor patio. What a great place to watch the game.

    We love the River Walk. Such a cool place, even with all the pigeons.

    Haven't got a clue what the Carolina Clan reunion is but everyone seems to know all about it!
