What a difference a year makes

Texas Star
Last year, we arrived in Texas to be greeted by extreme drought and extreme temps. Everything was burnt and dry. This year is a whole new world.  The country is green and lush. Flowers are in bloom and there are lots more birds.

And to top it off, the thermometer barely crept over 90 yesterday and should stay in the mid -90's all week :).  We are headed in to Midland to root around in our storage room (put some stuff in- take some stuff out).  Then we will have lunch with friends and hit HEB for some groceries and vino.

Stay cool where you can... See you down the road.

  1. Nice to see the weather more enjoyable. Good luck with your storage revamping. Just don't take out more than you put in. :c)

About time the flowers bloomed nicely, that was quite a drought last year.

  2. Mid 90's does sound like a typical Texas summer. That's South Dakota weather now too! And most other states. Maybe we'll just stay in Texas next year. Some days it's cooler there :)

Have fun shopping at the storage unit!

  4. So funny that 90 sounds like a great temperature. Still feels really hot to me but I have to say, it's cooler in Florida right now than in the mid atlantic.

When you go into the storage, will you find things you'd totally forgotten about like I always do?? Why do I keep them if I can't even remember I ever had them? Now there's a question.

  5. Love the Texas Star flower...that's a new one for me. We unloaded a ton of stuff (mostly clothes and shoes) and put it our "storage"...Dan's Mom's house! Didn't add anything! Whew!
