Looks like Monday

We had our driving instruction yesterday.  The instructor took us through the lazydays campground in Phiona. Catherine practiced backing into a site.  She was perfect the first time- ran over a little grass- but perfectly centered in the site.
Bob, the driving instructor, said he felt Phiona's ride was a "little spongy". He called the Tiffin rep, James, and he says we need to have our "ride height" adjusted.  So, we are waiting to get into the chassis shop to have that done. We also had an episode of "pinkvision" on our bedroom TV and the outside TV last night. However, after turning all TV's off and back on, it went away. I sat outside and watched the football training camp report today.  :)

They cancelled the chassis class.  I was bummed.  I guess we will have to make a stop in Red Bay later this year for me to learn about our powerglide chassis.

Hopefully, Phiona will get into the chassis shop, first thing in the morning and then we can hook up our toad and make sure everything is in working order.  We want to stay a couple more days just to make sure "pinkvision" does not return after moving her.

Monday, she can get a bath and then we can move up to Quail Run for a while.  We checked out quail run this morning, left some more vegan cookies for Sherry and met Karen and Al. It was great to finally meet them.  Sherry was doing her run so we had a brief hello- hugs only in spirit - because she was sweating.

It is a nice place and the monthly rate is just above what most places charge for a week. We have not nailed down just exactly how long we will stay.  As long as we stay 12 days, we should be ahead by paying the monthly rate plus electric.
Tonight, we are settling in to watch the opening ceremonies in London in surround sound - cool.

  1. So glad you will possibly be here when we move from our "half way hotel". Glad to hear that everyone at Lazy Days is on top of looking for things that need to be corrected. Why did they cancel the class? That's a bummer!

Thanks again for the cookies. It was fun to see you two here while I was sweating it out. No hugs this morning was a good thing for sure! Yuck!!

  2. Hope everything checks out so you can leave on Monday. I'd stick around for awhile, too, to be sure all the kinks are ironed out.
Guess I'll have to pull up that recipe and give it a try. It seems to be very popular :)

  3. A spongy ride doesn't sound good but I'm sure it'll be an easy adjustment for Tiffin. Pink TV doesn't sound good though. Hope that goes away for good.

    1. Rick, I think your initial diagnosis is correct and it is the switch box where all those cables come in. The tech that has been working on it is going to try to get me a spare to carry with me- just in case.

  4. That was really special of you to make that cookie gift for Sherry and David. So many of us wish we could be there to help them, thank you for being able to do so. You are great RV friends.

Hope that ride height adjustment is the last little bug with your new home. Bet you are excited to get on the road. :c)
