We left San Antonio just after 8:00 this morning. The sky was overcast but not stormy until we got to Houston. Then we came upon a scary looking storm.
There was no view of the Houston skyline today. We thought we were going to dodge a bullet but just as we got to the I-10 - I-45 exchange, the sky opened up and it poured on us all the way to San Jacinto. We stopped, had lunch and rested our nerves.
I am so glad we went through Houston on Sunday. We pulled in to the A+ RV park and Motel about 2:30. It is really a nice little park just a few miles south of I-10 in Sulpher, LA.
Tomorrow we head for the other LA (Lower Alabama).
See you down the road......
Looks like a nice park. This weather has been crazy lately

Nice paved sites there. They even look level. :)
ReplyDeleteThat was nasty looking weather over Houston. Nice looking RV Park - gotta love those flat, level sites.
ReplyDeleteJust had flashbacks of Houston traffic -- certainly none of that here in North Dakota! Enjoy LA and travel safe...
ReplyDeleteAnd to think you wanted to turn in a nice clean RV for your new one. :c
ReplyDeleteYuck on the storm! Safe travels to Tampa
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it safely to LA. It's no fun traveling in the rain.
