We arrived safely back in Garden City about 2:30 Friday. It was an uneventful trip. We had a beautiful spring day yesterday-no wind and and very warm. Catherine spotted this little guy, while looking out our dining area window.
I have not seen a "horney toad", or Texas Horned Lizard, in a long time. They were common when I was a kid but their population has declined greatly. They are now a protected species.
We managed to plow through all our mail , take care of a few business items, laundry, and cleaning the bugs off the front of the coach. We have several more little maintenance items to take care of, in the next couple of weeks. Today is supposed to be windy. We will probably just huddle up in the big house -watch basketball and read. See you down the road....
It's beautiful, warm and sunny here. Yet, we too, are huddled up in Lucy watching basketball :) Wish they only played on bad weather days :) Gotta love March Madness.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had safe travels! Wind has been quite breezy the past two days in Cedar Key!
ReplyDeleteBoy that's some face to see looking in your window. Not a toad I'd want to kiss even on the chance that he might turn in to a rich prince.
ReplyDeleteWe got back to a semblance of civilization today where we could actually get a TV signal just in time for the tail end of the Kansas/UNC game. Boo Hoo-I'm a Tar Heel fan!!
love seeing the rare horned lizard...
ReplyDeleteNo place like home, no place like home, no place like home!
