The stock market ended the week in the dumper. A few more weeks like that and my retirement will be a short one :(
My step father left to go to his granddaughters wedding and my mom has been much more agitated and difficult to manage since he left.
I have been worrying about putting my mom in assisted living- -is it the right time- will it work out- how will she react-
It's been a rough week. However, today I went to the grocery store and .....
My favorite flavor is back for the summer :)
A nice bowl of ice cream. Now, my mom and I are both
less agitated..:)
Have a good weekend! Enjoy some Ice Cream!
That's the right attitude to have!! It's darn hard to feel too bad when you're sitting in front of a nice big bowl of ice cream!! Now you've done it...I've got to go look in the freezer...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIce cream is a help in times of trouble. That's sure why my intake has been way up of late. I am so sorry you have to be in this assisted living quandry. You are in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteBlue Bell is the best at healing wounds. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have some difficult times to get through so you may need to stock up while they have your favorite around.

That's what I'd do - go for ice cream. Then again, I'd go for ice cream to celebrate if the stock market went up too.
ReplyDeleteOh how I envy you being able to eat Ice Cream. Unfortunately it is one of many things i have had to give up in order to lose some weight! Blue Bell is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBlue Bell ice cream is a wonderful treat. If you like coconut, try the coconut fudge. YUM!!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Ice Cream makes everything better. I generally don't buy it so we don't try to make things better everyday, but if I did, Blue Bell would be at the top of the list. A nice cone at the local place is always wonderful treat though.
ReplyDeleteIce Cream would be Bill's major food group...so we don't buy it. We have it when we meet up with SPECIAL Friends!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry you have to figure out the care situation for your mother. It is difficult being the parent to your parent. I finally realized it was my responsibily to see that my mom lives in a pleasant, healthy and SAFE environment. Making her happy is her responsibility. You're in our thoughts.
It's the little things in life that help put a smile on our face. We're thinking of you.
