Yesterday, we decided to start the morning off with a hike. We headed up to Agurrie Springs. It is a BLM Recreation area. We did this hike on Jan 1 and it was snow packed. Yesterday, it was just hot.
It is a really nice hike. A 1/2 mile hike up to a 4 mile loop that crosses several small ravines. No water running this time.
We did see a little wildlife . This is some kind of collard lizard.
I don't recall ever seeing one before.
After our hike, we stopped to see my mom. She seems to be adjusting well. We visited for a while and then talked to the staff. They said she does fine as long as they keep her busy. She folds towels, sweeps, and waters the plants. It looks like this is going to work out well for her.
Now that my mom seems to be settled, we need to make some plans. We spent the afternoon discussing several options. We will let you know when we decide :)
So glad your mom is doing so much better in this facility. You sure made the right decision to move her. Looking forward to seeing where you will go next.

ReplyDeleteGreat to hear that the staff knows how to handle your mom so quickly. Must be a real load off of your mind. So glad to hear you can return to thinking out your lives and what's next for you knowing that you did the right thing for your mom.
