Walking with the Big Dogs

 Catherine and I have been going to the farm every day to walk Grace.  The "big dogs" think we come to walk with them.  So, we all walk.

Grace loves it.   She is starting to fancy herself a "farm dog" now :)
 My mom is actually doing pretty well at the facility here in Deming.  However, we have talked about it and spoken to some other people here about the facility in Las Cruces.  Everyone has such good things to say about it, that we have decided to go ahead and move her.  We think she will get more appropriate care and be provided with more opportunities for activities she can still enjoy.
 We actually got a little rain on Saturday- just enough to keep the dust down for a couple of days.  Grace tried out her new "Thundershirt" and it did seem to keep her more calm during the storm.

My step brother had a gathering at his house for Father's day.  Our nephew manned the grill for the first time.  He did pretty good.  It was a nice afternoon.
We will need to work out the details for my mom and then we will move over to Las Cruces for a few weeks until she gets settled.  Have a good week everyone!

    Glad things are moving along as you continue to find an even better place for your mom. Grace will be lonesome when you leave.

    Never heard of the thundershirt. Love it! Did I miss a picture of Grace modeling it???

    Hope your Mom adjusts to the new place quickly. Isn't it nice your home has wheels and you can be close by for as long as need be. Good Luck!

    Sounds like you've found a better place for your mom, you can't go wrong with nicer suroundings and better care. Hope the move goes smoothly and she likes it even better.

    Finding the right place is difficult. But better care and more appropriate activities sounds like a good fit. Hope it goes a smooth as possible. Nice that you can move your home to hers while she settles in.
