My parents house is great and you can not beat the rate, but we were in full sun the whole time. This spot has nice shade and our sat is locked on. Yeah!!
We went to see my mom. The have not given her any of the anti-psychotic medication today. Her eyes were bright and she was her feisty self. They said she kept busy all day long- giving orders on how to water the plants, folding towels and assisting the activities director. She met us at the door with a big smile and said she would be ready to go in 20 minutes. We waited until she was distracted with dinner and left.
We have to take her to the doc tomorrow to establish her as a patient, here in Las Cruces. She may be a handful tomorrow, but it was good to see her eyes bright again.
We will be here at least a week . We will stay until my mom gets settled. It is nice to be in a bigger town..I see a starbucks in our future tomorrow :)
What a wonderful response to a move! Hoping that she continues to tell them all what to do and stays happy. It must make you feel so much better!

Sounds like the move went well. Never easy for any of us to make major changes. But it sounds like this went quite well. Like your new campsite too!!!
ReplyDeleteFeisty is good! Glad that the move went smooth. Stay cool...it is quite warm in PA...of course in the next 5 days the temps are supposed to be 25 degrees cooler than what we are at now!
ReplyDeleteHope today is another good day for your Mom. It's great that you got her moved with so little initial upset. Sounds like a great place if they let help out like that. Where will you be off to once you are sure she is settled??

DeleteSo glad the move seems to be going well. Hopefully she adjusts quickly. Shade is good when it is hot. Even better with the dish locked on through the trees.
