We took our dog out for a walk at the farm. My stepbrother has a big yard with grass.
We ran into this guy by the tractor shed. It was good to see him. I have not seen a horned lizard out here for a long time.
This is my stepbrother standing in a field of Oat Hay. I think it needs to be cut : )
We had a nice respite at the farm visiting with my stepbrother and his wife.
My mom had an up and down day. She had a meltdown about noon. Catherine happened to stop by to check on her - she had to call my stepfather from church and he was able to get her settled down. She took a long nap and had a better afternoon and evening.
One day at at time ....

That's a lot of Oat Hay to be cut.
ReplyDeleteSure hope your Mother improves and is feeling better. It's tough when are parents begin to age.
Great picture of the lizard!
ReplyDeleteStay strong.
Aren't farms great? Sorry your Mom had a tough topsy turvy day...here's hoping that things smooth out soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the meltdown. This kind of illness is so hard on all the loved ones.
ReplyDeleteHope seeing the horned lizard means things in the eco system are good out there. The hay looks fantastic. Bring on the oats. I use A LOT of them.
Sure sorry you're having to go through this difficult time. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult to watch our love ones struggle. Doing the right thing is not always easy. But your mother's health and safety are the real issues. You're seeing that mom has the care she needs.
ReplyDeleteI am sure she will settle in a routine. I agree with Nancy and Bill....you did the RIGHT thing. Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteTime will get your mom to settle down more. She'll get into a routine and begin to feel more comfortable with ner new home.
