Yesterday, the group decided to take one more visit up to see the whooping cranes. We saw 14 this time! They were a bit closer so I got some better pictures. They really are beautiful birds...
The local residents don't seem to be as impressed with the cranes as the tourists...
That was about it for yesterday, it stayed foggy most of the day. I spent the afternoon trying to get most of the items that have been dragged out of the bins and out of the truck during the last month, repacked for traveling. We are having the rig washed tomorrow and we will depart on Thursday. We are moving to Choke Canyon state park.
Just don't catch whooping cough from those whooping cranes!
ReplyDeletethey are some big birds... glad to see they are still around!

I'm not sure I've ever seen whooping cranes. They are big. Do they whoop? Or just Whoop it up quietly???
ReplyDeleteSure wish I was getting Winnona washed. Remind me how you arranged that??
That cow does not look that impressed with the flock:)
ReplyDeleteJust remember...big birds make big terds! Don't let anyone blame Grace.
