We threw candy and doubloons and gave bubbles to the kids. It was great fun. Lots of people in the park participated. Even the dogs got in on the action....

Mardi Gras Parade
We decided to enter the Mardi Gras Parade. The parade is mostly golf carts but we don't have one of those and we would not all fit anyway. We briefly discussed removing the camper shell and all the stuff from the back of my truck,but that seemed like way too much trouble. I could pull the tow dolly with my truck but how would we all ride ??? Oh hey, I have an idea......
Tie the picnic table down to the dolly and instant float! Add some decoration...
We need a name for the float....
Fortunately, the Louis Armstrong CD made the cut of "things to bring" on our full time adventure. So, with "Hello Dolly" blaring out of a boom box and everyone riding on the picnic table, we joined the parade.
Today, the Port A. parade takes place downtown. If the weather is good, we will probably check it out. Happy Fat Tuesday everyone! See you down the road....
