Bluegrass, Parrot and a Party

The sun returned yesterday about 11:00 in the morning.   However, it was joined by strong winds.  We decided to brave the winds and check out the bluegrass festival at The Gaff.  They have a large outdoor space and trees that blocked most of the wind.  It was my kind of bar.

They advertise themselves as a pirates bar so of course there had to be a pirate...

The parrot and leather made for a good look but I thought the little dog with pink harness killed it.  We had a few beers and listened to a couple of sets.  The music was just OK but the sunshine and beer were great.  As we were leaving, the parrot decided I would make a good perch.

I think he just liked my pink shirt - he chewed it a little.

His owner gave him a nut to chew and helped encourage him to sit on a kid's arm.  I said good bye to my new friend and we headed back to the campground for happy hour and the campground appreciation dinner. They put on a pretty good feed - BBQ brisket,beans, and potato salad.  We listened to the band for a while and then called it a night.  It was a fun day and today is looking beautiful - sun is shining brightly and the wind has calmed considerably.  It should be a great day.  See you down the road....
