Twins, Repairs, Football and.... Rain!

Wednesday evening as we sat down to dinner,  Mama Deer and the twins came to graze in the yard.  They sure are getting big.  They are still mostly legs.  It has been fun to watch them as they grow.
Thursday morning, we drove over to the little RV parking area, dumped our tanks and took our girl in to the shop for her new water pump.   Then we headed in to Midland, to do some shopping.  We got a call from our mechanic asking us to pick up a new serpentine belt.  I was glad he decided to change it.  That is one more thing we will not have to worry about down the road. All went well with the repairs. We picked her up about 6:00pm and settled in to enjoy some Football!

I love football and have been looking forward to watching the Cowboys play their first preseason game.  Just as the game started, so did the rain. It knocked out the satellite reception.
I was so happy to see it rain that I did not really care about the game.  We stood at the window and watched it rain, and rain, and rain...  It had been 320 days since there was measurable rainfall.  Last night we got 2.1 inches.  It was really nice rain.

Today, we are focusing on laundry and getting ready to pull out Saturday morning, headed for Branson.  Tonight, we will try to catch the Buccaneers game tonight on ESPN.

See you down the road....

  1. Wow, I guess I wouldn't complain either with such a draught going on.

  2. Got to love those free wash jobs of rain. That was quite an amount to have at one time. The trees must be greener now.

Glad to hear the water pump repair went smoothly, it's always something.

How long are you going to be in Branson, we're going there Sept 12-17? Love all the shows.

  4. Glad the repairs went well. Nice also that you got a much needed rainfall, but sorry that it knocked out the reception to your game. :-(
