Hike to Cedar Falls

 We set out yesterday morning on a hike to cedar falls.  It has been very dry here so our expectation was not high that we would find any water falling.


 It is a nice trail built by the CCC .  We crossed this narrow bridge to find a little water in the stream.  Good sign.


There were lots of mushrooms along the trail.  Catherine got a good shot of this on growing on a tree. 
And finally.....

Cedar Falls...
Not much water this time of year but still a nice hike.  We took the sea eagle out for a paddle in the afternoon and then just enjoyed our great campsite.

    It is amazing how much work the CCC did and most of it is still around for us to enjoy.

    Love that picture of Jo Beth's hiking outfit, color coordinated and everything! ;c)

    Amazing that they are now having a drought. When we were there in the spring the lake was over flowing and things were flooded. It looks beautiful either way. Keep having a great time!!

    Looks like a nice hike. Even without a lot of water it looks like a really neat spot.
