We checked out the salvage place. It was OK. But, I did not see any great deals on anything. It would be a good place to try if you need a hard to find part for an older rig. They did have the parts for our awning arm-new. And, we got to see where old RV's come to die. Other than that, it was not that exciting.
We had the RV medic come over this morning and put the parts on.(I did not have the right tools.) So, the awning is all fixed up. I also had the oil changed in the truck and got a brake light bulb replaced. So, we are fully operational again.
We headed out to Eureka Springs and made the short 70 mile drive in about 1.5hrs. We are set up in our 50 amp site. Another 100 degree day today :). We are hoping it is the last one of the season. We will veg in the rig this afternoon and then head into town for dinner.

Kind of spooky to look at your RV salvage pic!
ReplyDeletePoor old coaches - sad. No more fun on the road.
ReplyDeleteBut yours looks very fine in the site. Wishing for cooler weather for you.
Great picture of the Elephant, I mean RV Graveyard. Wonder what they do when all the good parts are gone. At least your awning is now up and rolling.
ReplyDeleteHope you get some cooler weather, summer heat can't last much longer.
Temps weren't too bad in Hot Springs yesterday... in the 90's. Hope it cools off some and you can enjoy Arkansas!
ReplyDeleteI'm with the others on the "rv graveyard" -- spooky.
