We Have Lift Off.
As of 11:00 yesterday, we are full time! The closing went off without a hitch. We took the check to the bank and celebrated with lunch at Trailhead brew pub in St. Charles. We had already decided not to leave until this morning as we were still trying to get things organized in the RV.
We made good progress and are now in a state we can live with until we get to Texas. We left the campground at 8:17 this morning and drove to Carthage, Missouri.
We arrived at Red Barn RV Park about 2:30. They are super nice. When we called, they only had a 30 amp spot where we would have to unhook the truck. When we got here, they got us in to a 50 amp that would hold all three vehicles. That is fantastic, because we plan on rolling out early tomorrow. It will be a long driving day but we need to get the U-haul unloaded and turned in on Tuesday. See you down the road...

ReplyDeleteBut Texas in June? Have pity on me, my memory has also gone on the road but it's some other road than where I am! Remind me who is getting all the contents of the U Haul?
