The Cutest Thing Ever

We had a fairly relaxing Sunday morning.  Catherine did a couple of massages and earned us a little gas money :).  I did some prep on the rig and got the truck hooked up to pull out Monday morning.  We had lunch and were just hanging around the house working on a puzzle and reading.  Then our friends Joe and Carmen shouted "come quick" .  We ran to the windows and look who came to visit....


The little one came on its own to find some shade.  It browsed around in the yard for a while then settled down in some shade.  We checked on it occasionally throughout the day and it was just resting in the shade -no sign of Mama.


Then.."uh oh I better go Mama is calling".  It jumped up and started running.


"I am glad I found you Mama. I was getting hungry."  After a snack in the road, Mama took the little one back to the brush.  It was a real treat to see such a young one.


We pulled out this morning about 9:30 headed for Balmorhea State park.

    I always think it is such a blessing, when wildlife visits like that. But a fawn, by itself? That's really neat. I wonder if the mom was looking for her baby, or if she was keeping an eye on her from a distance.
