We can roll again!

This morning I opened the box Tiffin sent and plugged in the new shift selector.  Catherine turned the key and - lights, camera, action.  The coach shifted in to neutral, shifted into reverse, shifted in to drive and back to neutral.
We are operational!  However, we may have collateral damage.  When I put the door panel back in place,
(with difficulty, because it tucks behind the dash panel) the lights on the leveling system went out.  I was worried about this because the wires for the selector and the leveling circuit board (which looks very cheesey) were all tied together.  Although I was careful, the wire to the leveler got bumped around quite a bit.  The circuit board just hangs out behind there with no protection.  Anyway, I pushed on the plug and the light came back on.  But, it does not feel right.  I think it may go out again when we hit the first bump.
I emailed Tiffin. They will have the issue documented in case we have further problems. It is not a show stopper.   We can use blocks to level if we have to.

I am glad to have it fixed.  Now, we can relax and enjoy our nephew's graduation.

  1. What a relief! Glad to see Tiffin stood behind you and got you taken care of. All these circuit boards are frustration cause there is no way to fix them, they just get replaced (if you can find the right circuit board).

Now you have peace of mind and can enjoy traveling on. :c)

  2. So glad to hear you got the shift selector fixed. I think I hate electronics. It makes fixing things so much harder. Hope your leveling still works for you. In the mean time enjoy your family.

  6. Great news! It's always nice, and always a surprise to me, when a new part works the first time.
