New Park

385 miles- OK so it is not quite PDD territory but it is plenty far for us.  We landed at Pensacola RV park about 2:30 Central time.  It is a really nice park for over night.  We have a nice long pull through site and the office person was extremely nice.  It is not far off the highway but still quiet.
It took me about 45 minutes to clean all the love bugs off the front of the breeze.  I love that Tiffin puts the diamond shield on the rigs.  It really makes them easier to clean.

Tomorrow we head for Bay St. Louis....

  1. Ugh, Love Bugs! I think they should be called Hate 'em Bugs. They make such a mess.

I have Diamond Shield on our Journey and I'm starting to see a few spots of mold underneath it, which will eventually require its removal when it gets really bad. I guess I can't complain because the Journey is now seven years old and has seen its fair (?) share of those danged Love Bugs.

If I have the Diamond Shield removed in the future, I'm torn about replacing it. It takes a lot of work with a heat gun and then WD-40 to get it totally removed.

  2. I'm glad I got away before the love bugs were out, but I've got plenty of other bugs on the front. I'll have to wait for better weather to clean them off though.

  3. Driving 385 miles in a day is about as much as I'd ever want to drive. Glad your day went well with no troubles - except for the bugs!

  4. Boy I think 385 should qualify for PDD. Although I do forget what levels the president set. I thought it was over 500 for gold but 385 should definitely be bronze. I'm not sure I could do it. Glad you found a nice place to rest. You deserve it.

  6. That qualifies for PDD for me. Watch out for the severe weather that's moving east.

Thanks for the reminder on the love bugs. I'm sure we will have a mess. I found "The Solution" works pretty well on them.

  7. That is definitely PDD territory! It would take us at least 2 days to do that :)

Glad you like your diamond shield. It works when new but once it starts to mildew underneath it is just plain ugly. We removed ours and are very happy with a naked Lucy :)
