Tiffin sent a mobile guy out first thing this morning. He checked all the fuses and made sure everything was getting power. Everything is. So, Tiffin is sending a new shifter pad and actuator. I asked the Tiffin guy about unplugging the shifter pad and he said to give it a try. I wished I hadn't.
They had all the cables tied up together making getting to the brackets that hold the shifter pad in place a bear. Hopefully, I did not screw up the leveling system by pulling the wires all around to get the cable ties off. When I plugged the shifter pad back in neither panel lit up. I pushed the plugs for the leveling system back in and it lit up. I have to say that leveling system panel looks a bit fragile. Just a circuit board hanging out there. Anyway, no luck on the shifter pad.
When the parts get here, I am supposed to call the mobile guy back. I have to say I am starting to think it might be a lot less hassle to just stay in Motels. I like having all my stuff with me but I am losing patience with things not working.
Frustrating!!! Hope you are on the go soon!
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone. We're at the Winnebago Factory Service Center and the money count if clicking way too fast.
ReplyDeleteSorry that the pad reset didn't work, but it was worth a try. Hope your parts come in faster than mine that are on order from Freightliner.
I feel your pain, it can be extremely frustrating. I'm sure once the mechanical difficulties are out of the way you'll have a great summer.
ReplyDeleteHope the parts arrive soon and you are cleared to go. I don't think I could actually stay in motels anymore after having our own 5th wheel.
ReplyDeleteI feel for you. We deal with these kind of things all the time but we don't have to deal with the condo things too. There are times when we think...............but we get over it. Hope it works out for you.
ReplyDeleteSure hope that Murphy takes a hike and doesn't return. These machines can be frustrating, but what a wonderful way to travel:o)) Hope things get fixed ASAP!!
