It appears mom just had a 24 hr bug. She is doing OK now. I saw her both morning and evening Thursday. She was just a little tired. Friday, we decided to do another day with Habitat. We opted to go back to the house we tiled to finish grouting and start putting in the base boards.
There are quite a few new people on the caravan crew now. However the group on the tile job, were all folks we worked with the past two weeks. It was fun to work with them again. They are really good people, who dedicate several weeks each year to Habitat.
Catherine was tired and a little achy at the end of the day. She opted out, of Friday night football. It was the first playoff game. Our nephews' team won, but it took them until the bitter end, to get it done. My tail end was frozen from sitting on those metal bleachers. Next week they go to Albuquerque for round two. I think I will join Catherine in staying home :).
We don't have a plan for today. My brother may need my help loading grain. If not, I am going to attempt to remove the shield around our generator and get the coolant leak solved. We will see how that goes. Have a great weekend everyone!
Glad to hear the good guys won and that your Mom is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteGreat news on your mom, and congrats to your nephew!
ReplyDeleteI'd be tired and cranky after a day of grouting on my knees! Glad your mom is better.
ReplyDeleteGlad your mom is feeling better. Metal bleachers and me don't get along either! That's cruel and inhuman treatment! Congrats to the game winners though!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear about your mom. Every muscle in my body would be complaining if I worked as hard as you do. Feeling pretty lazy reading about it. Metal bleachers need butt warmer cushions. I've seen them for sale.
ReplyDeleteGlad your mom is feeling better. Very nice work you both have done on the habitat home. Nothing like High School football playoffs, fun times for your nephew for sure! Hope they go all the way.
