Getting Ready

We are getting ready to head back to Garden City tomorrow.  We have enjoyed our five weeks here in Las Cruces.  We  really enjoyed volunteering for habitat. I am sure we will do that again sometime. In addition, I got to spend quite a bit of time with my mom.  I was able to get to know the new director, staff and other residents and I feel better all the time about the facility and her care.  My stepfather is doing well- finally getting used to mom being gone.  It is a new chapter for all of us, but we are moving forward.  
We are looking forward to spending some time at home and then heading to San Antonio for  the holidays with Catherine's family.

    Glad everyone is adjusting. Safe travels to SA. We will arrive in Rockport Sunday. Let us know when you hit Port A so we can get together for a beer or something :)

    I'm glad to hear you got to spend some time with your Mom and that you are comfortable with the care she's getting. I'm sure that takes a load off of your shoulders.

    I'm good to hear things are working out well for your mom and as well as possible for you all and your step dad. Have a safe trip and wonderful family visits in Texas.

    Did you ever read the RVing books by Barb Thacker from Las Cruces? She full timed alone with her dog Ink back in the late 80's

    Good to hear both of your folks are doing well. Adjustments can be hard. Time does take care of a lot of issues.
