Yesterday, our friends Brett, Orla and daughter Megan came to visit. We grilled chicken fajitas and watched the Olympics. It was a nice afternoon. The extra space in Phiona really makes it nice for entertaining.
This morning, we decided to load up the bikes and go to Flatwoods Park. It is an 11 mile trail with a seven mile loop not far from here. We used to Rollerblade it. I was never very good on the skates and a big flat loop was just what I needed. I guess in-line skating is out of vogue now. We used to see lots of skaters but today just bikers and runners. It is a really beautiful trail and most of it is shaded.
When we first got on the trail, we were passed by these guys.
I missed the picture but the dog was wearing Doggles. He was having a great time. They did not do the whole loop as it was too hot for the dog. It is a great place to bike or run if you are in the Northeast Tampa area.
After we got home, I grilled some scallops for lunch. We got them at Central Market when we were in San Antonio. They did fine in the freezer and made a great light lunch.
We plan on just hanging around this afternoon - watching the Olympics. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.
Guess I'd better come over and find out directions to a shaded cool place to run. Thanks for posting about it. Those scallops look GREAT!!
