We got out early this morning, with the intention of riding the flatwoods park loop again. Unfortunately, all the rain Monday was still draining away and we could not get on the trail.
We decided to just ride along the levy up to the trout creek flood gates. It takes a pretty sophisticated system to keep all this swampland above water so people can live on it.
On the way back, we spotted a unique runner.
He was making pretty good time. It was not quite the peaceful ride through the woods that we anticipated but it was a good ride, none the less. We came back to the coach and started her up, pulled in the slides and brought up the jacks. Just wanted to make sure everything is operating smoothly after sitting for over a week. It was all good.
Not much else planned for today-just staying out of the heat.
Maybe he's trying to run away before Thanksgiving get here? :)
ReplyDeleteWe saw tons of turkeys today at Mammoth Cave NP. Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteThat bird is an Eastern Road Runner. If you waited around long enough you would have seen an Eastern Wil E. Coyote.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look like that bird could fly to far! Hope he's a fast runner.
