We are back at the San Antonio KOA. It is a little steep like all KOA's but it is really convenient to Catherine's family. So it's worth a few extra bucks. It is also a really nice park. We got a nice wide site with a little shade in front to at least keep the sun off Phiona's big windshield.
We will be here four nights. Monday, Phiona has an appointment to get new fuel filters, an air filter and her Texas State Inspection. The guys at Iron horse will look her over. I plan on bringing her here for her annual check ups so they need to get to know her :).
When we left San Antonio in late June, they were doing OK on rain. However, it is clear that they have gotten very little in the last 6 weeks. Things are really drying up. Dave and Maxine of the Wandering Wingers are west of here at Lake Medina and say the lake is almost dry. These years of drought really take their toll.
We are headed out for dinner with Catherine's family tonight. See you down the road.
Enjoy your time with Catherine's family!
ReplyDeleteGlad you landed safely! Enjoy family time.
ReplyDeleteBet your Texas family will love Phiona!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the rain last night. The rest of us in San Antonio sure did.

It was good to get the rain. But storms are not fun in a MH
DeleteWe're in northeastern Oklahoma and the trees are yellow and brown. leaves are falling like it's fall. Very sad what this drought has done.
ReplyDeleteSo you made it back okay, did Phiona yell at you anymore for speeding?
ReplyDeleteGood move getting her serviced, she'll love that even more than the Lazy Days spa treatments. ;c)
