Grace is enjoying her new home but sometimes a dog just needs to get "off leash" and have some fun. A trip to the dog beach is in order. We picked up some lunch, packed our beach stuff and hit the road.
We got a good spot and got all set up. The beach was pretty crowded on a warm Saturday afternoon.
We took Grace out in the water to cool off. She did not object too much, but she would not go back in voluntarily.
After a dip in the water, she rubbed herself all over the sand and her blanket. What a dirty dog! Brandy comes to share her blanket. Always good to make a new friend :)
Grace and I ran up and down the beach a few times then it is back in the shade for a rest.
It was a beautiful day for beach going. The perfect way to beat the Florida heat. After a couple of hours, we head home for a bath and a nap.
What a great day!
