Birthdays and Birds

 Monday, we celebrated the birthdays of two in our group with dinner out, followed by cake and vino back in the rig.  A good time was had by all.


 Tuesday and Wednesday were quite windy so we did not spend much time at the beach. 
 We had to roll the bedroom slides in to sleep, due to the flapping of the toppers.  We drove over to Rockport for lunch on Tuesday and spotted some spoonbills feeding in a pond.

We saw a couple in flight last week, but were not able to get a picture.  The wind must have stirred up some good stuff, because they were really working those bills.
It looks like we are in store for a beautiful day today.  I hope to get some kite flying in soon.

    Spoonbills are on my must-see list..Mitchell Lake Wetlands in Feb. or Mar.!

    Mmmmm I love birthday celebrations and especially cake. Those spoonbills are pretty great too. It's a tough life you got there.......glad to see you are making the most of it. :-)

    Nice pics of the Spoonbills and great photo of that Birthday Cake. I don't think I've ever seen a Spoonbill but I have seen a lot of Birthday cakes - especially my own!!
