Catching up

 We have been busy having fun in Port A.  I have not gotten my act together for a blog post in a while.   This park has some nice events for its guests.  On January 29, we saw the Alaska String Band.  They are a family band that travels the south during the winter months and plays for cruise ships in their hometown of Juno. They were very good and it was a fun evening.


We also met up with Gayle and Rick, aka the Gypsy Turtles, for lunch at the Port A Brewery.  The beer was a little better than last year and the pizza was great.

 

We had another trip out to the birding center.  I forgot the camera but Catherine got some good photo's on the iphone.
We had fun watching this Ruddy Duck and his mate stirring up some food.
 It was a windy day and this flock of black-necked stilts decided to hang close to shore out of the wind.
We also had the group over for the Superbowl and have had several days of bike riding and kite flying.  We have had wonderful weather so far.  Today is going to be overcast with some showers but still warm.

    That water must have been cold, the Ruddy Duck's bill turned blue.

    Be careful around those Gypsy Turtles, they can get you into trouble very easily... ;c)

    I think I prefer being too busy to being in no cell/no internet land like we are. Some how when we don't have it there are a trillion reasons I want it. You've been up to some fun stuff that's clear. Thanks for catching us up. But you didn't say what you thought about the superbowl.
