Some fine feathered friends..

 Yesterday was another beautiful day here.  We went out to lunch, did some laundry and walked the beach a few times.  Today, we got up and made it to the beach for the sunrise.

 After the sunrise, we decided to head over to the birding center to see who might be paddling around.


We saw lots of ducks: green teal, blue teal, redheads, cinnamon teal, ruddy, northern shoveler and wigeons.

Someone saw a black bellied whistling duck, but not us.   The birding center here is great, because there are always lots of serious birders around, willing to answer questions and help spot the more unique species.

 There were also some raptors in the area keeping an eye on things.

 We also saw white and brown pelicans, cormorants, and herons.  All in all, a good visit to the birding center.

We enjoyed lunch back at the campground and now it is about time for another walk on the beach :)  Although, I am not positive I will muster the energy.
