Tuesday - we visited the Witte Museum again to see the "Mummies of the World" exhibit. It was very interesting- not what I expected. They had several "natural mummies" from different parts of the world in addition, to the man-made mummies from ancient Egypt and South America. We learned lots about mummies for instance, "mummy powder" was used as a medicine in the 1800's- ick.
Wednesday- we got our dental cleanings and check ups- we both got the -all clear. We had lots of rain both days. Our only picture is of the duck, who did not mind the rain at all.
Thursday, we dried out and cleaned up. Friday, we had dinner with Catherine's family. Today, we will spend some time with our nephew's and tomorrow we are getting together with some high school friends of mine.
Saw a bunch of mummies in Egypt, including King Tut's. It's a good case for cremation...
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to go back and see the mummies.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to get together with friends and family? We love doing that when we visit Oregon.
Mummies, now that is a very unusual topic for consideration. You guys find the most amazing things. But mummy powder??? Really???
