Hanging out in Las Cruces

Yesterday, we headed out to the Farmer's and Crafts market.  They had lots of crafts and still had some produce-squash, and hot house tomatoes.  We got some sunflower sprouts to dress up our salads.  As we were walking down the street, I saw a familiar looking guy- turned out to be my cousin Norm.  We visited for a bit and then headed out to lunch.  The winery in Deming has a bistro here in Las Cruces.  We gave it a try.
It was a lovely day so we sat on the patio.  We had a great mountain view.

The food was pretty good, but a little expensive.  We spent the afternoon at the rig, watching college football.  Today, we will move to Sunny Acres RV park for a month.  We decided to stay there for the whole month and just commute to the habitat job site.  The sites provided by Habitat are very tight and no place around for Grace to do her business. The price for a month at Sunny Acres was actually less than for 2 weeks.  We will have to pay for electricity but we would have donated to habitat to cover  our electric costs as well.

See you down the road.

  1. Isn't it amazing how much cheaper your stays can be when you get the monthly rate? Makes you wonder why they couldn't drop the daily rate a little bit.

Good luck on your tour at the Habitat. We're interested in doing something like that in the future, so we're following with great interest.

  9. I love that you just happened to run into your cousin. Hey he looks familiar. LOL

Sounds like a good plan to have the site and help Habitat. Nicely planned.
