We did some chores around the house this morning, had some good New Mexican food for lunch. I met my stepfather at my mother's facility and we had a nice visit, and then left for our nephew's game. Catherine was having some allergy issues and decided to skip the game. One of the parents provides a big tailgate and served posole stew before the game. Only in New Mexico!
It was senior night. The picture below is my nephew and his parents. I forgot the camera so it is a phone pic.
You can see he is a big kid. He had a good game, catching a touchdown pass (which got called back), and providing a key block for another touchdown. He also dropped a touchdown pass, which just about killed his father and grand father.
We had a good time, but it was pretty cold. So, with the game well in hand for the Trojans. I headed home to our warm RV.
I had to look up Posole Stew! It looks yummy. Guess we'll have to look for it the next time we're in New Mexico.
ReplyDeleteTotal fun, live football. And a family member as a player makes it even more fun.
ReplyDeleteYou're right he is a big kid, but I guess that comes from eating Posole Stew! ;c)
Sounds like a good game for his senior send off. Great that you could be there.
ReplyDeleteSenior send offs are a neat way of supporting the kids. Good thing you could be there.
