Tuesday, we visited the McNay art museum for the "Beauty Reigns exhibit". It was contemporary and had some interesting pieces. Most of it was not my taste but it did showcase some talented artists
Tuesday night, we came home to an unpleasant surprise- ants in the rig. We had to spray down the whole bedroom. So, we both slept in the living area. Our booth dinette makes an ok bed for one, as does our couch. Now we know how all that works :).
Wednesday- we moved spaces- away from the ants. KOA also gave us credit for one night and apologized about the ants. Catherine had lunch with a high school friend and I puttered around the rig.
Thursday- we both got haircuts and Catherine got a pedicure.
Tomorrow, we will have dinner out with the family and Saturday we will head for home. We are not planning a leisurely drive home. If all goes smoothly, we will be home on Tuesday afternoon.
When I was on sea duty, when we headed the cutter towards home, it was as fast as we couple reasonably go and as the props spun in the water pushing, it was called making "Liberty Turns".
ReplyDeleteSounds like that is what you'll be doing. :c)
Exactly- we have had a wonderful trip but we will be glad to be back in the condo.
ReplyDeleteI hope you were successful in getting rid of the ants. If not, let us know, Al may be able to offer some suggestions.
ReplyDeleteWe have had off and on ant problems this summer for the first time ever. I hate sprays so it's difficult for us. It isn't exactly hate but they make me cough and my throat closes up. That's a sweet place you are heading back to so it's no wonder you don't want to linger. And I suspect the temperatures on your route won't be encouraging any sight seeing.
ReplyDeleteWe had one bad bout with ants a few years back. We swear by Taro...no smell and they are gone for good:o))

Gotta agree with Terro Ant Baits. It was nice that KOA credited you for the night.
