Hope everyone had a happy 4th of July. We visited mom and then came home for lunch. She was in a very good mood- even recognized me. They had the place all decorated and served burgers and pasta salad for lunch. We came home grilled lunch out and then sat outside and enjoyed the relatively cool weather for a while.
We watched a couple of movies in the afternoon/evening.
The City of Las Cruces fireworks started about 9:45. We had a great view from the RV park.
Catherine stayed inside with Grace and I watched most of the fireworks display. We gave Grace a little doggy drug and that helped her stay calm. She did just fine.
Today, Grace is going to get a bath and haircut and we are going to the farmer's market. We will visit mom in the afternoon.
Sounds like a very nice 4th. Glad you had something for Grace so she wouldn't be afraid.
ReplyDeleteNice 4th!! Glad your mom is doing well. Any luck with the truck?
ReplyDeleteCamping world could not get us in- So, we moved on to Las Cruces.
DeleteThe truck engaged easily when we got to LC. If it gives us further trouble, there is convenient place in S.A. that installs them. I can get it looked at there.
Lots of dogs have trouble with fireworks. Good to hear that the tranquilizer worked. I thought she had a thunder shirt. Then again, fireworks are more intense than a storm.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that mom had a good day... even though she recognized you. ;)

Glad you had a good day. A little birdie told me yesterday was your birthday, so...Happy (belated) Birthday!
ReplyDeleteFireworks and dogs don't always go well together. Our last dog went nuts when fireworks were shot off, making July 4th a very long night.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear you had a great visit with your mom. Hope you have many more like that.
Glad you had a nice visit with your mom and Grace tolerated the fireworks okay.
ReplyDeleteGreat fireworks pics! Glad to hear you had a great visit with your Mom and a happy 4th of July holiday!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words and encouragement following the loss of our beloved pup Molly. Your thoughts are much appreciated by both Paulette and myself.
