Fort Stockton

Saturday, we were up early to get Grace to the groomer  and head to the Farmer's market. My brother called and said my dad was in the hospital in Las Cruces- shortness of breath.  Long story short- he is fine.  They did a full work up on him and could not find anything wrong.  He thinks he just induced some asthma when he cleaned out a clogged combine- lots of dust and wheat chafe. We met him at the hospital, had lunch and then all went to see my mom.  He seemed to be OK. I talked to him Sunday and he felt better, but still not like he was breathing right.

Despite being a bit worried about him, we decided to head out yesterday. We drove to Ft. Stockton for an overnight and will head on to Kerrville today.  I spoke to my dad last night and he is feeling much better.

We have always wanted to stay at the Buckhorn Lake Resort but it has never worked out.  This time it did.  We will be staying there a couple of days before moving to San Antonio to visit Catherine's family.

  2. Wow! Thank goodness your dad is doing fine, what a scare. Who'd have thought dust could cause such a reaction? Bet he'll wear a dust mask next time.
