Memphis, Party, Home


 Saturday afternoon our RVW group went to Graceland.  It was fun going with a big group.  Some people were big Elvis fans.  Some were not.  But, we all had fun and at the end there were a few converts.
Sunday was a really dreary day - overcast and cloudy.
We had lunch at Gus's fried chicken and then took a riverboat cruise.  The fried chicken was great but we were not crazy about the cruise- too expensive.  We did learn a few things about the river and surrounding area.

 After dinner, we were sitting around watching TV when all of the sudden a bunch of our friends appeared at the door.
They came with a cake, balloons, and libations.

 They decided we needed a "proper" wedding reception.
So, we had one! It was very fun and we appreciate their thoughtfulness. 
 We are lucky to have such great friends and we were glad to see them again.  Grace was glad to see her friend Heidi again.  They get along really well.

It was a great trip - 4500 miles on the Breeze.  She did really well.  We saw lots of friends and family but it is good to be home.  Today, we will get the Breeze cleaned out and get settled back in the house.  We were welcomed home by a fantastic sunset last night.

    That was really sweet to have a wedding reception, you deserved one. :c)
    I see you gently fed each other the wedding cake, I guess after all those years together, you still like each other! :cD

    What fun to have a late wedding reception with friends - the cake looked good!

    Too bad you didn't get to see Elvis while you were touring Graceland! Elvis lives, you know!

    Love all the Elvis all the time! You look wonderful in your cake feeding picture! What great friends. Glad to see Grace has a friend although she and her friend don't look too pleased with the picture taking! Beautiful sunset.

    Glad to hear you made it home safely. It sounds like you had a nice trip. Your friends were nice to throw you a reception. Did I miss the wedding?
