Soggy New Mexico?
This is crazy! The last three days we were in Las Cruces it rained every day. This is our campsite with a lake around it.
The view from the front of the breeze. New Mexico is not much on worrying about drainage. Most folks in New Mexico( except the farmers) wanted rain but now- enough already!
It was still raining when we pulled out yesterday. It rained on us for the first 100 miles of the 225 mile journey to Albuquerque.
It was actually pretty amazing to see all the arroyo's running full steam. I was too shocked to get pictures. However, the Albuquerque Journal got some good ones.
It rained again last night in Albuquerque. We are a little muddy but not in a lake. We are on a little bit of a hill- which is a good thing. Today we are going to see our niece's new house. It is under construction. We will be here until Wednesday. Hopefully, we will not need a boat to get out :).

WOW, those arroyo photos are scary!! Hope you don't get the water flowing down from Colorado. Flooding is a scary thing:o((
ReplyDeleteStay Safe...
We're finally getting some rain here in Minnesota too. On my day off, of course. :(
ReplyDeleteRain in New Mexico! I thought I'd read your title wrong. Farmers don't want rain? Well you all could always go swimming!
ReplyDeleteNot now- farmers are trying to get crops out of the field.
DeleteSo among your many talents, you've now added Rainmaker. ;c)
ReplyDeleteRaining up here in southern Utah as well.
ReplyDeleteHope you don't have to pull out the kayak! That flooding is horrible in CO. Hope it doesn't get that bad in NM! Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteStrange for New Mexico indeed. I've been to NM on 4 or 5 occasions and I don't think I've ever even seen a cloud.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of water in those photos from the paper. Hope you stay high and dry.
ReplyDeleteweird how they are getting all that moisture there...
ReplyDeleteWhat is the name of this park in Las Cruces? Looks like a nice park
