Farm, Farmers Market, Mom

Thursday, we went to Deming to visit the farm.  My niece just moved out of our farm house because she got a new teaching job in Show-Low, AZ.  Now, my other nephew and his new wife are going to move in because he is coming home to farm with his dad. He finishes college in May.  The farm house needs some work.  The niece who moved out loves color - so a lot of paint is in order ( we really should have taken pictures). :) We also have an issue with excessive A/C condensation.  I am not sure what would cause that-especially in NM.  So we need to get that fixed along with some water damage that it caused.  All in all, it is not too bad for an old adobe farm house. It has a beautiful big front porch that faces the mountains. That makes up for smaller rooms and pink tile in the bathroom - right?

Grace conked out under the table when we got home.  She was tired from running with the big dogs on the farm.

Today, we went to the farmer's market early.  We bought some veggies and also got some gifts at the  crafty booths.
They really have a nice market here in Las Cruces.
Of course, this time of year the peppers take center stage.  They had some beautiful ristras  made out of these smaller peppers.  Several booths had the big roasters out and were roasting green chili.
We have seen mom every day.  She is doing well and seems happy.  She does not know who I am any more but she is always glad to see me.  We continue to be really pleased with the care she is getting.
This afternoon, we are just hanging out watching football.  We may go for a hike in the morning.  The family went to watch the youngest nephew play football in Tucson- we passed.

We love our spot here at Sunny Acres.  It is good to know that if we every need to be here for an extended period of time there is a park we really enjoy.

  7. We know what you mean about having a good park to stay in while visiting family. We've been doing just that ourselves but took the weekend off to join friends at an rv show. When we saw an Allegro Breeze like yours, we all agreed that you made a good choice in rigs.
