Duke City- visiting friends

 We have spent most of our time here in Albuquerque visiting with our friends.  Sarah is having a new home built.  We are very excited for her.  Purchasing your first home is a major milestone in life.  We are very proud of her.

 On Monday, we visited Old Town just to walk around and shop a little.  We have had a couple of beautiful sunny days with highs in the low 80's and low's in the low 60's- perfect in our opinion.
 We have enjoyed our visit and our time back in New Mexico, even with all the rain.

Today we turn east on "the mother road" ( actually now I-40).  

 Destination for today-Amarillo.

    I remember Albuquerque's Old Town. We visited there and had lunch at a nice little Mexican restaurant - outside in the blazing sun!

    Have a safe and enjoyable trip along Route 66!

    I agree with all 3 of you. The new chapter is what is so exciting. Loved Old town. Did you get to the Native American museum. We were really taken with how good it was.
