Monday, we had a new and not welcome visitor on the hose we use for water in the rig. Just a small fry- now. We hope he does not have lots of siblings around.

We got about 1/2 inch of rain yesterday and should get some more tonight. Hopefully, Texas is starting to pull out of this drought cycle.
It is so hard, because they can't tell you how they feel. She goes back to the vet tomorrow for blood tests.
We will do some chores around the house and take advantage of the cool weather to make some chili ( probably the last until fall) for dinner.
See you down the road....

So what did you do with your unwelcome visitor? I assume he was hanging around for some water. Since he's so little I'd be worried that the nest is nearby and the siblings and mama are too. I like snakes but no thanks on rattlers.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Chiquita. I always felt so helpless when I knew they were sick and hadn't a clue what to do.
Yuck on the snake but the bird picture is neat. I haven't seen that one before. Sorry to hear about your friends' dog.
ReplyDeleteMy sister's dog has pancreatitis too and they have to feed him special food and make sure he gets NO other food/treats/table scraps.
Love nature, but that Mr. Noshoulders scares me;o(( Beautiful bird!!!
ReplyDeleteSure hope that wasn't a poisonous snake!
ReplyDeleteOk. Enough with the snakes already! I know they're out there, but I don't want to see them :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some of that rain last night. It poured on us and this morning, all was totally dry :(
Ha! We decided to stay in Deming for a night...
ReplyDeleteSorry about your friends' dog. It's always hard when furbabies aren't feeling well.
ReplyDeleteSo, did your little visitor taste like chicken?
