Rain, Rain, Rain and Clean Teeth

Last night, we got 4 inches of rain here at the KOA- San Antonio. Our bike trail was turned  into a kayak trail.  It runs next to a creek, which is now a river; that flooded all the way into the campground.
San Antonio is pulling out of the drought.  They have 10 more inches of rain, than this time last year.  More is still needed  to fill the aquifer, but it is headed in the right direction.

Today, we all got our teeth cleaned. It is a bigger ordeal for Grace, because she has to be put under anesthesia.  She did well. She also got a growth removed from her eyelid and her problem nails cut way back. She is really pooped.
Tomorrow, we take the coach in to get her inspection sticker and oil change. We should all be good for six months.  Then, it will be medical and dental exams for us, shots for Grace and new tires for the rig.  It is a pain to do all that stuff, but we are believers in preventive care.

See you down the road....Go Spurs!!

  1. Preventive care usually ends up costing much less in the long run!
I hope that water level goes down quickly!

  2. Grace does look pooped! I'm all for preventive care as well and got my medical stuff out of the way a few weeks ago. Good to go for another year! It's been a bit rainy here too (NC) but not as much as you guys have had!

  3. With all that rain turning the roads into rivers, maybe you should think about balloon tires for your motorhome. ;c)

  4. Grace looks so sweet sleeping off her ordeal. And shots coming up, poor thing. So glad to hear about the rain, we got some last night too. First real rain in the nearly 5 months we've been here. Hope the pain in the wallet from new tires isn't extreme.
