If you have followed this blog for very long, you know that I like to fix things myself when possible. Our temp & pressure valve on the hot water heater has been dripping and I decided to replace it. I went over to Iron Horse RV and purchased one. I knew that if it turned out to be too difficult to get a wrench on it, I could just have them install in Wednesday as we are going back in to have a new sensor installed on the jacks.

I drained the water heater. I had no trouble installing the new valve. Great --- all is well -- not --- I went to put the drain plug back and it would not seal-drip, drip drip - more teflon tape - drip drip drip.

Be very careful!!! Those new rigs can find their way into your wallet ;o)))
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed that you do so much fixin' yourself! I wouldn't have a clue :)
ReplyDeleteColor me impressed as well!! Not sure I could take on that job but some that I do, there's a great satisfaction in not having to take the thing in to have someone else do it and then pay for it. Even if it takes me twice as long. It SHOULD cost me half as much. I love a bargain that's for sure!
