5K
Yesterday, we ran a 5k. It was the "Selma-Schertz salute to service members". It benefited those service members at Brook Army Medical Center needing additional Physical Therapy. We took our nephew. He is a good runner. He had never done a race outside of school events. He had fun and had a good time. He finished 7th in his age group with a time of 24:14 ( he had to stop and tie his shoe). Catherine did great, finishing in just under 35 minutes. I did OK, given I still have a bad wheel (ankle sprain in July). Catherine got a shot of me crossing the finish line.
I finished in just under 38 minutes. It felt good to finish a race again. We hope to another couple of races this winter/spring. Today, we are taking both nephews to "Dave and Buster's" for a little video game fun. See you down the road....

Thanks for running. 5k is just the right distance. Of course, 500 yards is about my limit with two bum knees.

I had no idea you two were runners. You don't whine about it all the time like I do. :-) Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on running 5K and for such a good cause.
