Thawing out, Happy Birthday Catherine

It was a beautiful, sunny Christmas day.  One of the best things about the desert is that the snow does not hang around very long.  Most of it melted yesterday and the rest will be gone in the next day or two.  On our way to brothers for Christmas dinner, we spotted this hawk looking around for some dinner of his own.  Of course, I did not have the better camera so this is the best shot I could get without trudging through the mud.
We had a good Christmas eve and Christmas day.  My mom did really well and seemed to enjoy both events.  That made it a very nice holiday.


It is Catherine's birthday today- Happy 47th.  I got up early and made her a cake.  It is not easy to be sneaky in an RV.  I am sure she heard and smelled the whole operation, while she was trying to sleep late :)

    So glad your mom did well for Christmas. That makes for a very nice Christmas present.

    Yum, few presents better than a home made birthday cake and smelling it while you are "relaxing" is even better! Good for you!!

    Happy Birthday Catherine - but you have my sympathy for your December birthday. Or maybe your mom didn't just move one of your christmas presents over and call it happy birthday. :-)

    Happy Birthday, Catherine! The 26th is our granddaughter Taylor's birthday, too. She's 6!
